Today is the final day of the summer program I have been working at, and school will begin in less than a week. I have always loved the process of getting ready for school: the new clothes, the new supplies, finding out what teacher I got, etc. As I entered college, it was always interesting to meet a professor for the first time. Some were very down-to-earth, while others were firmly entrenched in an ivory tower. Regardless of the subject or the prof, I always think of this when I meet an instructor for the first time:
Hmmm...I wonder what my new students will think about me this time next year!

Are you a "Miss Dove" or a "Miss Bishop"?
I'm not sure. I am easy-going, but here is a definite line with me that should not be crossed. I have high expectations of myself and my students, and I am sarcastic (believe it or not) with my high schoolers when it is appropriate.
Which one does that make me more like?
