This past week, Illinois College (and the Jacksonville educational community) lost an incredibly valuable individual. I won't say that I always got along with the guy. In fact, there were times I downright didn't care for him. But in my experiences, the most unnerving educational experiences tend to bring the best out of me. Regardless of where we were on a personal level, we respected each other, and he cared about my future as an educator.
In just six months, you influenced me more in the educational sense than many people can in a lifetime. Thank you, Dr. Smith.

My unintentional inaugural post.
Um, welcome to my blog. I am now a registered user of this site because I wanted to post a snarky comment on a friend's site, and they made me become a user. Damn peer pressure!
Anyway, this may turn out to be fun. I'm not a real big talker, so I can't promise frequent posts. Then again, blogging is something I hope to implement in my classrooms in the future, so this might prove to be a great thing that I stumbled upon.
Cheers!
