Yum-Yum

It's a funny thing about art -- I was watching a bit of "Drumline" last night on cable, and I couldn't stop thinking about Krup and Missy Stanwyck. One of my favorite little moments in this scene, incidentally, is when Cooper realizes he is tapping to the beat and corrects himself immediately. So cute.

Love it!

Be sure and catch the remake, "A Song is Born" next Wednesday as TCM salutes big bands. This time the profs are writing an encyclopedia on music. Same director (Howard Hawks), cinematographer (Gregg Toland) and Miss Totten (Mary Field). Lots of fun for fans of swing.

Thanks for the heads-up! I have never seen it, but adore Ball of Fire.

Wish you had the Ovation channel in Toronto (the one that aired several of the programs I sent you awhile back)...this week is music week. They are currently doing opera, and jazz is up tomorrow.
