Today is a travelling day, so even though MLB fans got almost a 2 for 1 last night, I thought I would treat you all to the lighter side of the best sport in the world on this day off. Enjoy, and here's to a wonderful 2nd half!!

An all-time favourite! This is the only thing Gavin likes about baseball. He likes us to read from a big Disney picture book and the look on his face shows he is very critical of our attempts to imitate Jerry Colonna! It ain't easy.
Janet has a fat plush toy cat that was unnamed until Gavin christened it "Cooney". Ha-ha.
Lines that have made it to general family usage while watching a game:
"Okay, you guys, this here is the ninth inning in case you don't know it!"
"Hurray for our side!"
Did you stay up for the whole game?!?
Sigh...I did not quite make it for the whole game. I really started fading out in about the second-to-last inning. It was definitely a good game, and the teams were rather well-matched.
I hadn't seen this cartoon in awhile, but I am glad that it has such a special place in your home. A genuine classic!!
